Let's Be Honest: Trendy or Ugly

I present to you: my unasked-for opinion on the latest trends. As much as I appreciate timeless fashion, following a few wild trends can always be fun. However, many of the latest everyday fashion trends seem to cross the line- which of these have gone too far?

Hoodies Under Blazers

To put it simply, no. As much as I love a good blazer, nothing ruins a classy, elegant outfit like a graphic or bright colored hoodie. Rather, I would pair the blazer with a sweater, collared shirt, turtleneck, dress, or blouse (basically anything that's not a hoodie).

Chunky Loafers

I am (so) here for it. Loafers are the perfect shoe: comfortable and easy, and can be worn as both dressy and casual. There are so many possibilities for this unique shoe.

Corsets

As much as I think there are so many cute corsets and, consequently, so many outfit possibilities, I am afraid that this trend might go out quicker than expected. If I were you, I would run with the corset trend before it's over.

Vests

I cannot say enough about vests. I very recently discovered the value of a vest, as they are such an easy and comfortable way to level up a fall outfit. As the weather cools off, I highly recommend introducing a fun-colored or fur-covered vest to some basic pieces.
